1) What
does the Helene Fuld Health Trust fund? Financial Aid to full-time baccalaureate nursing students new to nursing remains our directive and goal. The Trust will seek opportunities to establish endowed scholarships at selected nursing schools through an invitational process. The trust also welcomes inquiries for Special Projects.
2) How will
the Trust select institutions to receive an invitation to apply
for an endowment grant? The trust will select invitees from leadning nursing education organizations and from academic institutions based primarily on the Trust's guidelines for an outstanding baccalaureate nursing education program.
3) Does
the Trust award scholarships to students? The Trust
does not directly award grants to students. Our grants are made
to nursing education organizations and programs that benefit nursing
students.
4) Will
the Trust accept a letter of intent from a school not invited
to submit a request? While we welcome material to keep
us informed about the nursing education, the Trust will only consider awards for solicited proposals.
